Meet Clare and Becc, together they run Good Egg Books, a small family-run publishing company. 

Good Egg Books currently holds three titles, all written by Pennie Brownlee. All are available in selected bookstore stores around New Zealand, in Australia through Inspired EC and here on our website, where we ship to all corners of the world!

History
Good Egg Books hatched soon after Ako Books (Playcentre Publishers) closed its doors in 2016. Author Pennie Brownlee had worked with the Playcentre Publishers for 33 years and wanted to keep her two books "Magic Places" and "Dance with me in the Heart" in print. By establishing Good Egg Books, Pennie could do just that, later adding a third title to her trilogy "The Sacred Urge to Play".

Pennie ran Good Egg Books with great passion right to the end of her life in 2023. The company has been kept in the family and is now run by Pen's niece, Becc Dufty, and daughter, Clare Caro.
